Trek on the Great Inca Road

From July 25 to August 13, 2009, we will accompany a group of trekkers from the French travel agency, Atalante, on one of the most majestic portions of the Qhapaq Ñan in Peru, Inka Naani. Qhapaq Ñan, an expertly crafted column stretching more than 6000 kilometers long, comparable to the ancient Silk Road of the East.

This rich archeological heritage still exists today, but it is in danger of disappearing. Our expedition aims to bring this “sleeping giant” to the public’s eye for the first time, and to bring to light the various issues that are at the core of its survival.

The Qhapaq Ñan is currently enlisted as a candidate for UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
