The Qhapaq Ñan, « Main Andean Road »
constituted the principal highway of the Inca Empire.

From Quito, Ecuador to Mt Aconcagua in Argentina, it is the first time this epic route is walked and documented in its entirety.

Qhapaq Ñan, an expertly crafted column stretching more than 6000 kilometers long, comparable to the ancient Silk Road of the East.

This rich archeological heritage still exists today, but it is in danger of disappearing. Our expedition aims to bring this “sleeping giant” to the public’s eye for the first time, and to bring to light the various issues that are at the core of its survival.

The Qhapaq Ñan is currently enlisted as a candidate for UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
